A HIGH speed police chase through the streets of Dolný Kubín in western Slovakia's Žilina region on November 11 ended in tragedy, when six boys aged between 16 and 18 were killed, the daily 24hodín wrote.
The Škoda Favorit allegedly taken by twin brothers without their father's approval slammed into an historical building in the town-centre going 130 kilometres an hour and burst into flames. By the time rescue workers removed the boys from the wreckage, five were dead. The sixth died on his way to hospital.
The youths, who came from the nearby villages of Zašková and Komjatná, are thought to have been drinking, including the 16-year-old driver of the car.
