Police dropped the case against Interior Minister Ľudovít Hudek and Slovak Intelligence Service chief Ivan Lexa, saying there was "no suspicion of criminal activity," Slovak media reported on July 22-23. Charges were filed against them in May by Ivan Ďuris, chairman of the extraparliamentary Republican Party, after a conversation was allegedly taped between them pointing to their interference in the police investigation into last August's kidnapping of Michal Kováč Jr.
