Police identify man who drowned in Danube during floods

The police have informed that the body of the young man who was fished out of the Gabčíkovo dam on Sunday, June 16 evening, is Patrik R., aged 24, who was reported missing since June 9. Trnava Regional Police spokesperson Martina Kredatusová told the SITA newswire that Patrik R. is probably the person who was seen jumping into the Danube River from Bratislava’s Old Bridge.

This was the second body found in the Gabčíkovo dam in June. The first one, found at the beginning of the month, had likely been in the water for several months, and whose death had nothing to do with the recent floods.
