Interior Minister Vladimír Palko has shaken up the senior ranks of the police corps, replacing police corps president Pavel Zajac with former investigation section head Anton Kulich, and dismissing many other top officers.
Surviving the cuts was police corps vice president Jaroslav Spišiak, who since joining police headquarters late last year has led several major operations against organised crime groups.
