TO protest the murder of 21-year old student Daniel Tupý, human rights activists People Against Racism are organizing a candle march against fascism and racism, the daily SME reported.
An organized group of neo-Nazis, attacked Daniel and his six friends. Another young man was seriously injured.
Several parliamentary deputies, including Speaker of Parliament Pavol Hrušovský, will be attending the march. Parliament is even considering delaying voting in order to make it possible for deputies to attend the march.
President Ivan Gašparovič and Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda also condemned the murder.
The murderer(s) of the student continues to escape justice.
Slovak singers will organize a concert on November 12 at 15:00
entitled Stop the Neo-Nazi, which will feature several Slovak artists.
Among the Slovak musicians and groups performing at the concert are Jana Kirschner, Para, Le Payaco, Pressburger Klezmer Band, as well as a disabled brother and sister that play Roma (Gypsy) music as part of a Roma project called Bhurikane Gila.
