The survey, conducted by the United Consultants agency on behalf of mobile operator Telefonica O2 Slovakia, showed that the average Slovak is willing to pay around Sk2,000 (€66) for a mobile phone, while 65 percent of customers take advantage of operators' price plans with subsidized phones. Only 12 percent bought their mobile phones at full-price. The survey also showed that people change their phones as often as once every two years on average, while one-half change devices when their contracts expire. Mobile phones are seen as being more important than television sets, computers and music systems by 40 percent of users. TASR
