57.4% of Slovaks would not object to a reshuffle of the cabinet of Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda, while 28.7% are against any changes, according to a flash phone poll of 500 Slovaks conducted by the POLIS agency August 2 and 3.
Most of the voters who support the opposition HZDS and SNS parties - 61.8% - supported the changes in the cabinet, while 51.3% of the ruling coalition's supporters also agreed. A total of 13.9% were not able to answer the question of whether a reshuffle is necessary.
A cabinet reshuffle is looking increasingly likely in the wake of the resignation of Telecom Minister Gabriel Palacka, with the Hungarian SMK party and the former communist SDĽ party both calling for the resignation of several more members of government.
