"The scope of the reform is so large that it would be disadvantageous for us to present it all at once, as people would lift only some parts of the provisions out of context," said Pollák as quoted by the TASR newswire. Proposals of the individual measures should be released in instalments according to thematic blocks, ranging from education, accommodation, employment, to the social system and law-enforcement. Pollák emphasised that discussion on the reforms are still open, adding that he is available to listen to other proposals that would add to the discussion on remedying the situation of the Slovak Roma.

The Interior Ministry, which is collaborating with Pollák on drafting the reform, had announced earlier that the individual provisions will be introduced on October 15. The first part of the measures - concerning education - will be presented next week on October 22, with other topics following on a weekly basis. The entire package of reforms should be introduced by November 26.
