"The service will be operating three times a week via low-cost airline Wizzair with an Airbus 320 aircraft, which can carry 180 passengers,” director of the High Tatras Region Tourism Board Lenka Maťašovská told TASR. “The flights will be from London Luton on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.”

This means that in order to get to ski resorts in the Low and High Tatras, thousands of holidaymakers from the UK won't need to travel through Košice, Krakow or Budapest. In addition, the service should also make it easier for those who are interested in exploring Slovak wines and cuisine, in hiking holidays in the mountains during the summer and in Slovak golf courses.
