THE FIRST Slovak rally of Porsche cars was held on April 22 in SNP Square in Banská Bystrica, but was attended by fewer than a dozen cars.

Nevertheless, the event is new and its organiser, Radovan Drtil, told the TASR newswire he would like to try again in future years.

“On that day, a parade through the city took place and on the next day the cars continued towards the High Tatras, Poprad and Kežmarok, where we concluded our event,” Drtil said.

He added that Porsche reunions have a ten-year tradition in the Czech Republic where several dozen of these luxury cars, often including rare vehicles, gather every year.
