Postcards from Bažant Pohoda take off to the whole world

Visitors to Slovakia’s famous annual summer music festival, Bažant Pohoda, held in Trenčín had the opportunity to send specially prepared thematic postcards produced by Slovak Post that could be mailed for free anywhere in Slovakia and to addresses abroad for a small fee. Festival visitors sent almost 7,000 greetings directly from the Trenčín airport, the venue for the festival, to many locales in Slovakia and to countries such as Australia, America, Turkey, and Cyprus, with postcards most often heading for Great Britain, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

“For the third year already, Slovak Post has offered the chance to send special postcards from its typical yellow mail car at the Trenčín airport. We are happy that our postcards have become a part of the festival – apart from sending them, some visitors have kept them as a unique souvenir,” said Vanda Lesyková of Slovak Post.
