The Rainbow Pride march for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersex (LGBTI) people in Bratislava was supposed to celebrate its fourth anniversary this year but the tradition has ended prematurely, the Pravda daily wrote in its April 25 issue. Organiser Romana Schlesinger confirmed that the Pride march would not take place as planned this year, but did not specify any reason.
However, Schlesinger, from the Queer Leaders Forum, the organising group, later told Pravda's online edition that the march was only being postponed and that, while it would not take place in June, a press release about the actual date would be issued soon.
