President Rudolf Schuster's visits to 19 of the biggest companies and four of the five largest autoparts manufacturers in the US will have a long-term effect on investment in Slovakia, according to Economy Minister Robert Nemcsics.

Companies such as Delphi and Johnson Controls, which already have a presence in Slovakia, are expected to expand their investments, the minister said.

Software manufacturer Convensys, plastic-bottle maker Plastipack, and plastic-bottle recycler Cleantech are also all reported to be interested in investing in Slovakia.
