THE WELL-KNOWN Slovak priest Ján Sucháň was one of four Slovaks and eight Czechs injured in the crash of a tour bus near the Red Sea resort Hurghada in Egypt January 10.
Sucháň suffered a punctured lung when the bus carrying 37 people went off a winding road between Hurghada and Luxor and overturned. Doctors say his injuries will prevent him from returning home for some time.
Another Slovak passenger who sustained backbone contusions was flown with three of the injured Czechs to the Czech city Brno January 13, and was later transported to Slovakia.
The bus that crashed is owned by an Egyptian travel agency that carries out trips around the country for Czech Republic-based Exim Tours. Egyptian police are investigating the accident.
