WESTERN Slovakia's Prievidza is to get an industrial park. The state will supports the first phase of the construction with a Sk151 million subsidy.
The park will occupy 51 hectares and may be extended to 73 hectares. The town plans to host about eight companies in the park with the possibility of employing about 1,500 people in the production sphere.
According to town spokeswoman Ivona Vojtášová, the construction of public utility networks started in late March while the construction of the access road to the industrial park, which is the most demanding part of the project, will be administered by the Slovak Road Administration.
The road will later serve as part of the Prievidza bypass, Vojtášová told the SITA news wire.
Ekostav Slovakia will build the park's infrastructure with works assessed at Sk251.8 million.
