Prime Minister Iveta Radičová (Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ)), who also serves as acting Defence Minister, filed a criminal motion with the Interior Ministry in relation to a contract to deliver a mobile military communications system, called MOKYS, on January 30, the SITA newswire reported.
The prime minister stated there is a well-founded suspicion of poor management of government money, including the serious crime in breaching legal duties in administration of entrusted property.
"I also gave an instruction to halt any further payments resulting from the contract until it is completely investigated. The Defence Ministry will collaborate as well as possible with the investigation," Radičová stated, as quoted by the SITA newswire.
