Slovakia’s new Prime Minister Iveta Radičová departed on Monday, July 12, for a two-day working visit to Brussels for talks with officials of the European Union and NATO, both of which accepted Slovakia as a member in 2004, the TASR newswire wrote.
Radičová also met European Council President Herman van Rompuy and on Tuesday, July 13, she will hold talks with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, Eurogroup President Jean Claude Juncker and NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
On her first foreign trip since becoming prime minister last week, Radičová is also slated to hold talks with European Commissioner for Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration Maroš Šefčovič, who is Slovak.
