EDUCATION Minister Martin Fronc plans to provide private schools with of from Sk10 to Sk20 million (€256,000 to €513,000), the daily SME reported.
The money would be allocated from the budget that the ministry prepared to balance the impact of the law on student loans. Since the Slovak parliament failed to adopt the law that would have installed tuition fees and made possible the drawing of student loans, the ministry now can use Sk300 million (€7.6 million) for other purposes.
The Finance Ministry's Peter Papanek said that by supporting private schools the state can help to create more school capacities for young people.
