Private sector still driving Slovak economy

The private sector created 83.7 per cent of the Slovak GDP last year and employed 75 per cent of the country’s active workers. The GDP figure is higher than in the EU, where the private sector contributes just over 70 per cent, but has stagnated since 1999-2000 in Slovakia.
