Appeals made by Most-Híd chairman Béla Bugár to the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) to take disciplinary action against Constitutional Committee chairman and KDH MP Radoslav Procházka over his decision to vote for an opposition amendment to the State Citizenship Act will fall on deaf ears, Procházka said on Thursday, February 10.
"I've got support among my party," he assured journalists, although he conceded that his vote had not made his KDH colleagues especially happy. When asked whether he thought he had made a wise choice, Procházka told the TASR newswire: "I carried out the manifesto ... that looks towards the reduction of undesirable consequences stemming from current legislation."
Igor Matovič (Freedom and Solidarity (SaS)), who also voted in favour of the opposition Smer party's amending proposal to the State Citizenship Act, was expelled from the SaS caucus on Thursday.
