Around 18,000 people visited this year's Profesia Days 2011 jobs fair in Bratislava on February 16-17 according to Lucia Burianová, spokesperson for the profesia.sk website, the TASR newswire reported.
This figure is significantly higher than last year's 10,000. Hundreds of job-seekers landed new jobs at the fair, Burianová noted.
"Around 70 companies and HR agencies advertised vacancies. The companies came mainly from the business, finance, automotive, IT and services sectors," she said, adding that employers praised the fact that the fair was visited by people of various ages with various backgrounds, experience and language skills.
