The new terms of a tender for a provider and operator of the electronic highway toll system will be published in the EU's official bulletin later than originally planned.
Although Slovakia's National Highway Company (NDS) promised to send the terms on August 21, according to an unnamed source that spoke with the SITA news agency, it did not actually happen until this week. The tender's new terms could appear in the EU's official bulletin on August 31 or at the beginning of next week.
The EU bulletin announced the unsuccessful results of the first tender, organised by the NDS, on August 29. According to the NDS' official statement, the tender was cancelled due to the fact that twice as many companies enrolled in the tender as was expected. - SITA
