Slovak rail workers will strike for the second time this week over cabinet plans to eliminate 25 branch lines. Railway employees are set to start the strike today at 23:00, and they say they are determined to carry on until the cabinet drops the scheme.
Oil refinery Slovnaft said it feared losses of up to Sk80 million (2 million euro) per day as a result of the strike. Local export and import firms also said the strike would have a negative impact on their businesses.
