"Diversity is a gift, sexual orientations and gender identity are natural, inborn and we can't change them at will," said Furiel, as quoted by the TASR newswire. He stressed that the Rainbow PRIDE Bratislava 2010 parade on May 22 won't only be an event for gays and lesbians, but will be open to the whole of Slovak society and all people who identify with the idea of human rights and an open society.

According to the project manager, the event should be a quiet and cheerful march through the city, along with a concert. The parade will set off from Hviezdoslavovo Square and proceed through Bratislava's pedestrian zone.
