Even though the total number of registered job seekers decreased by almost 63,800 people year-on-year to 273,500 by the end of February 2007, the number of people who have been without job for more than four years increased moderately by 604 people to 63,200.
The National Labour, Social Affairs, and Family Office further reported that the regions of Košice, Banská Bystrica, Prešov and Nitra reported the highest number of long-term unemployed.
