For me as a Slovak, this "anniversary" means just a shameful moment in the history of Slovakia. The fact that the majority of Slovaks do not see it as something to celebrate is very positive to my mind.
This sad period of our history should be seen as a reminder of what can happen when a majority turns a blind eye to the inhuman treatment of its minority. Slovakia should, at last, clearly condemn this period of its history.
