To deal with the reality of competition on pay, the government could consider constructing brand new houses for these pilots, to the value of say Sk8 million (€200,000).
So long as they are employed by the air force the pilots could live in these houses free for 15 years. After that they would obtain automatic freehold on the property.
Although this would de facto give the pilots around five times their current income it would not make them over-privileged citizens spending wise. Those who chose to could drop out within the 15 years and the houses would become available for replacements.
I think Slovakia has to realize that she does not yet have the right shoes to walk the path she is walking. A bridging solution is needed in cases such as this.
