And as for being spineless, in today's world it takes guts to stand up to the US and say: "No, I think you're wrong."
What's wrong with waiting for a UN resolution? The arguments against an attack on Iraq are many and the UN has to consider these before it gives [the US] the go-ahead.
I know it's very hard to see this side of the argument if you're a US resident. You're never exposed to anything other than pro-Bush propaganda. One must also consider the fact that bombing Iraq will result in the deaths of thousands of innocent people.
This is a sad day for Slovakia. I had hoped it would have the courage of its convictions, like other European countries, but it appears I am mistaken.
