I'm not really sure if the loaded nature of your comments is intentional or just a by-product of your opinion in this case. I do, however, find it a bit hyperbolic to suggest that the desire to remove daily reminders of a repressive people, a repressive regime, and a repressive time "daft". And this objective daftness, as it were, appears to be based on the fact that you (a non-Slovak?) find the signatures of this foregone time somehow quaint, if not pleasant. From my perspective, your position suggests ethnocentrism, if not an outward apathy towards the suffering Slovaks have endured because of communist corruption.
