The timing of the "reopening of the case" simply does not pass the "smell test". Mečiar's detractors had almost four years to resolve the question of his guilt. But with the Dzurinda government things just move so sloooooow. Now, another percentage of voters will find the judicial proceedings politically motivated and increase Mečiar's popularity by the same number. Can't his opponents just simply join on a single political ticket? After all, they have a 70%.
