Alcohol is a problem, but I don't see it as a major one in Slovakia for my generation (30s) or older generations. But I too have seen the younger generations and even teenagers in Slovakia beginning to do the same things that they do in Western countries (and have done for decades): considering it "cool" to get stoned-drunk every weekend. Luckily, I haven't experienced these problems with my family/relatives in Slovakia or among friends there.

It's a parental problem. They, and only they, have full responsibility for their children and that means everything, not only taking care of them regarding food, housing, and education, but also ensuring that they develop a normal relationship with the temptations in life.
