You guys have my sincere sympathy, but directing your frustrations towards Slovakia is something like kicking the dog because grandmother passed wind. Just this morning there appeared a similar complaint in the Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf, where an employee of the drugstore chain Kruidvat airs her frustrations about how the new Chinese owners deal with staff (I'll spare you the details).
These issues have something to do with the general globalisation drive and with the Chinese, but by no means with the subjects, or even the government, of any of the ten new EU members. The former owners negotiated a price for their entity and got it, and the new owners probably already had in mind to relocate if their bid was successful; where to, would seem immaterial, for it would in any event be outside Scotland, or the UK altogether. At least by moving to Slovakia the entity hasn't gone lost to the EU [so far].
A more sensible course of action would be, I think, to call on Brussels. The Chinese have a [kind of] subsidised currency (it should be at least some 25 percent higher), so they are not exactly playing square, something Brussels, by definition, may not tolerate. What I mean to say is that I am afraid that you are barking up the wrong tree, as much as I understand your predicament.
