My hats off to the proposals set forth in the new manifesto. Regarding the Roma issue, I sincerely hope to see normative policy implementation. This may be especially difficult considering (1) the untested abilities of Chmel, (2) the tendency for such policy to remain hung up in state policy development and (3) the difficulties in getting Roma and non-Roma to agree on socioeconomic issues. Perhaps the new cabinet will ask [Slovakia's] excellent NGO sector to take part in national Roma policy development.
