Our organization, Euro-Children, has helped between 100 and 200 Slovak children since 2000. We invite children for a holiday with a Flemish host family every year.

In that way a lot of real friendship develops between Flemish and Slovak families. Since 2000 we have also given around 30 Slovak children grants to attend high school or university.

We have four voluntary assistants in Slovakia, two in Bratislava and one each in Nová Dubnica and Košice.

Every year I make at least one visit to these delegates. This year it will be in the area stretching from Košice up to Stará Ľubovňa from May 22 to 28.

Euro-Children has been helping children for 49 years. Next year we celebrate our golden jubilee. In all that time we have invited more than 50,000 children from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Bosnia for holidays in Flanders.
