Well let's see. Will the Slovak diplomatic team at the UN include any Roma? Considering the fact that Kosovo has a sizeable Roma population, wouldn't it be a good idea? Too logical to ask for, I know. Or perhaps too naive and hopeful that Slovakia could actually do something innovative in the Balkans given that it is unable to solve its own issues with the Roma and racism. Slovakia is hardly an exemplary model for the Balkan regions to follow. It was, after all, in Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia where you had the most well integrated Roma population in all of Europe; the best educated, too, some of which were actually members of parliament before the ethnic strife started. It would take a lot of courage to look at what worked there in the past and how to make it work again, instead imposing some simplistic outsiders' solution that will benefit EU/US investors.
