Re: New regional coalition will challenge Hungarian hold, November 1 - 7, 2004, Vol 10, No 42
It continues to amaze me that people overlook the main strength of the SMK [the Hungarian Coalition Party]. As their very name suggests, the party is a coalition of smaller ones - parties that have recognised that their strength lies in maintaining a united front in the interests of their various supporters, many of whom happen to have Hungarian ethnicity. They, alone, seem not to have suffered from the petty squabbling and resignations when individuals cannot get their own way. There's more I would like to say here, but I can't think how to do it at the moment. Maybe others can carry the train of thought onwards.
