Re: New spy centre wanted, by Martina Jurinová, Aug 16 - 22, Vol 10, 31

I believe that Slovakia should have a [spy] centre and it should be headed by a minister who oversees all the operations in Slovakia. In America they are finally considering naming one head for all of the agencies in the US. Currently there are 15 separate agencies in the US.

Sometimes, and more often than necessary, one agency doesn't know what the others are doing. As a result, you have one big bureaucratic ball of confusion. I forget how long they have been going by old rules. The money that they waste would boggle the average person's mind.

With all of the so-called "intelligence" that we have, plus the cost to the taxpayer, I am quite disgusted with the results, to say the least.

Talk about what you are getting for your money - the explanations are always long, drawn-out commissions on this and that, and I don't really see much improvement, just lots of talk.
