[Mečiar] is the "father of the Slovak nation", as so many of his fans refer to him. Maybe Slovakia would have been better off as an orphan nation. There are still too many people in Slovakia, and elsewhere, who continue to think of Mečiar as their model, and it is not difficult to see how this negatively affects everything they do.
