In your January 28th issue ("EIU predicts Fico as next PM", News Briefs, January 28 - February 3, Vol.8 No.3), you published an opinion of the EIU 'think tank' that the next government in Slovakia would be "... centre-right ... led by Smer's Fico ...".
They probably made this 'observation' all the way from Prague or Budapest! "Centre-right" the government may be, but Fico is neither centre-right nor electable. He is, first of all, an unreformed communist, whose preferences have been misreported ever since he broke with the SDĽ He never had 26 per cent support of the voters, nor does he have 14 per cent - my guess is around 3 per cent and that Smer will not even get into parliament.
And as for his "new faces" ploy, he should set an example and after 12 (!) years of his rabid socialist claptrap in parliament, should himself finally get lost!
