Re: Bratislava: March against Turkish EU membership, Volume 11, Number 27, July 18 - 24, 2005
What are the people against Turkey afraid of? That they will again one day lay siege to Vienna?
You have Britain, France and Germany willing to put past wars behind them. Is the same not possible with Turkey?
The argument of geography is also questionable. By that logic only a quarter of Russia would be allowed to one day join the EU. They can spend euros in St. Petersburg and roubles in Vladivostock.
