Freedom, as most of you have posted here, is not without cost. I suppose that the two Czech insurgents were free to do as they did but face the cost of expulsion by the Slovak government. What troubles me about the whole situation is not the burning of the flag.
Listen, I am no fan of Mr. Bush, but the "burning" as reported in the article, seems to have been staged by a camera crew to elicit a certain response. It would be interesting to find out who hired the video crew and for what purpose. Could this possibly have been politically motivated in an attempt to derail Dzurinda and Gasparovic's efforts to "cosy up" with Washington?
