A poll released on Thursday, January 29, shows that last year 14.3 percent of the population read news every day on the Internet, while 27.8 percent regularly read daily print papers, the TASR newswire wrote.
The gap between the two ratings is most narrow among the 18-29 age bracket, said Pavol Rankov co-author of the survey, which polled 1,500 people.
The new poll reported that 11.3 percent of the respondents gathered everyday technical and trade information on-line last year while a previous survey in 2003 reported the number as only 5.3 percent. TASR
