The police carried out the searches after an unknown person called the Košice regional police directorate in the morning and stated that a bomb had been planted at a regional court, Police Corps spokesman Michal Slivka told the TASR newswire.
The Justice Palace in Bratislava was also searched by police specialists, but no bombs were found in any of the buildings.
A bomb was also announced at the Košice II District Court where the protracted trial concerning the abuse of young Roma boys was to continue on November 30. Due to procedural flaws, the case was returned from the Regional Court Košice to the district court for re-negotiation. However, the session had to be adjourned because of the warning, although no bomb was found there, either.
