The international horse fair and exhibition Kôň 2012 marked the end of summer for the 9th time. On the weekend of September 1 and 2, the fairground in Trenčín hosted it, along with the Intertoys and Detský svet (Children’ World) exhibitions, the Sme daily wrote.
Part of the Kôň Horse fair was also the Ride & Drive Show which has grown popular among visitors. The coach of the Slovak football team Stanislav Griga, silver Olympics champion in shooting Zuzana Štefečková and junior football international Jakub Holúbek all took part in show, as well as horse vaulting teams and individuals, a police horse unit, Helamir Kunovice stud farm, archers, and riders of Moravian Warm-blood mares and Shetland Pony studs on tandem saddles (saddles for two people).
The event also included a dressage demonstration to the music of Kuer, with Milan Kulajda riding a stud of the Hafling Buchberg breed, and a charioteers’ show featuring a three horse carriage with Shetland Pony studs. Organisers put on other events and workshops designed for children too.
