Rodamco acquires 50 percent of Aupark shopping centre

RODAMCO Europe, the largest publicly listed property investment and management company in the European retail sector, has acquired 50 percent of the Aupark shopping centre in Bratislava from the local HB Reavis Group for about €75 million (Sk2.8 billion), the SITA news agency reported.

The transaction should be completed during the first quarter of 2006. Rodamco Europe has an option to increase its stake in Aupark in the long term. Furthermore, the parties agreed to cooperate on future shopping centre projects.

Including Aupark, Rodamco Europe now controls nine shopping centre in Central Europe.
