A STONE cube, which commemorates Roma victims of the Holocaust during World War II, was unveiled at the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising (SNP) in Banská Bystrica on Tuesday, the TASR news agency wrote.
August 2 is the World Day of the Roma Holocaust, while this year it also commemorates the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII. This is seen as addressing the overlooking of the Roma tragedy during WWII.
A plaque inscribed with the Hebreew word Zachor (Remember) was unveiled at the museum in 1992 to commemorate the Jewish Holocaust.
