The Council of Radio and Television Slovakia (RTVS) approved the institution's budget proposal for 2011, including a planned deficit of €5.39 million, the TASR newswire reported on Thursday, April 14.
The document, which was proposed by RTVS Head Miloslava Zemková, foresees revenues of €98.3 million while expenditure is set at €103.7 million. "It's a highly restrictive budget," said Zemková, who had previously commented that RTVS wouldn't have a balanced budget until at least 2012. The budget, as approved, reckons on €75.1 million being collected in licence or concessionary fees.
