The Czech energy trust ČEZ will probably withdraw from the project of a new nuclear power plant in Jaslovské Bohunice in the Trnava Region that it had launched with the Slovak government some years ago. The reason is that it set to complete the Temelín NPP at home.
The Sme daily wrote in its Thursday, January 17, issue that the Russian company Rosatom will receive all documents to assess whether it wants to enter the project to replace the Czech firm that is likely to abandon it. ČEZ has a 49-percent stake in the joint venture with the state-run JAVYS, the nuclear decommissioning company. It will receive the information based on a memorandum signed with ČEZ and the Slovak side as well.
