Low-cost air carrier Ryanair will launch a Bratislava-Paris route in November, Ryanair marketing manager Henrike Schmidt announced at a press conference on September 22, the TASR newswire reported.
Ryanair will fly to Paris four times a week - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Ryanair is launching three other new routes out of Bratislava in the 2009 winter season - to Bologna and Rome in Italy and to Liverpool, with each route involving three flights per week. Ryanair plans to carry 120,000 passengers each year on these new routes and believes that a total of 925,000 passengers will use its services up until March 2010.
The newly scheduled Poprad/Tatry - Warsaw flights will begin on Sunday, October 25 and the new connection will be presented to professionals at this week's Tour&Travel travel fair in Warsaw by Arpad Agocs, director of Danube Wings, it was announced on September 22.
“Flights between Poprad and the Polish capital will operate three days a week. The first and only air connection between Slovakia and Poland has the potential to significantly boost the number of Poles visiting Slovakia,” the Slovak Tourism Agency (SACR) head Svetlana Gavorová told the TASR. Despite the drop in visitors from Poland during 1Q09, Poles are still interested in this country, said Gavorová. TASR
