Ryanair rolls out new autumn routes

Budget airline Ryanair on Monday, August 24, announced a number of new routes from the Bratislava airport, bringing the total number of destinations to 17, the TASR newswire wrote.

Budget airline Ryanair on Monday, August 24, announced a number of new routes from the Bratislava airport, bringing the total number of destinations to 17, the TASR newswire wrote.

The Irish airline will open two routes to Italy and Great Britain as of October, flying three times a week to Bologna and Liverpool. As of November 3 it will begin flying to Rome, also three times a week.

The new routes are expected to carry around 80,000 passengers per year, bringing the number of people using Bratislava airport to some 900,000 per year, TASR wrote. In the first seven months of 2009, Ryanair saw the number of its passengers fall by 6 percent year-on-year to 411,902.
